Kailua District Park Behind Kailua Fire Station Thursday mornings from 9 am The horn goes off at 9 officially announcing the start to buying. About 7 vendors, so very much a neighborhood farmers market. Cheap! So grateful that Antonella started selling her Italian homemade goodies here. Antonella has the best quiche-salmon, mushroom, zucchini, beet and goat cheese. Olive bread...tomato and onion, pesto, spanakopita, apple strudel...I LOVE her food. Crave it. Always stock up...so very comforting and delicious. Other vendors are selling vegetables/ fruit: bags of eggplant for $2-3, onions $3, bananas, tropical flowers $5, home made jellies like your grandma used to make, Manoa lettuce, potatoes, sweet potatoes, celery.... The cost of food on Oahu has always been high. But this is the way to get fresh, healthy food at reasonable prices. Get there early before things sell out!

One of the more low-key and less populated farmer's markets since it's hard to make the drive all the way to Kailua for most townies. It's much more relaxing and less chaotic compared to the Kaakako and KCC one in town. I like how convenient the farmers market is with plenty of parking in the structure and excess parking lots since it's surrounded by all the stores like Down to Earth, Whole Foods, Longs, Maui Brewing, etc. They even have live music playing as well! Some of my favorite pop ups are there like: 1) Little Sparrow specializing in German spaetzle (Recommend: Truffle Spaetzle or CBM) 2) Youpo noodles - hand pulled noodles (Recommend: Cumin Lamb) 3) Corner Rolls - delicious takes on eggrolls (Recommend: Traditional, Innout, Avocado) 4) Nalo Made Lemonade from Waimanalo Country Farms Recommend if you're in the area on Thursdays.

Happiness is come across an outdoor party... Meeting Nadine C for a girls night dinner is already makes for a night to remember...happen to come across a Farmers Market puts me into a place I just didn't know what to make of it all. I loved the Sunday morning market at the Kailua Town Shopping Center only sad to be moved to another location...who knew that HFB Farmers Market had one on Thursday nights!!!! Gah! This Farmers' Market is like an outdoor party with entertainment, food, snacks and so much more going on here. I picked up some mochi from @lanikai_mochi, gazed at the process of making crepes, enjoyed some lovely entertainment and had a hard time resisting grabbing a bite at Nosh as I saw something they don't offer at any other markets. This Market is right along Long's and down to Down to Earth area, half are in the covered parking lot and half is out in the open which does make the search for parking a struggle but so well worth it. Follow @hfbfarmersmarkets for lists of others they run and this Kailua Town runs on Thursday nights from 4pm to 7pm come down and support local! Thank you!
